About NERC
The Equity Research Club at Neeley is an elite, C-suite investment research organization at TCU, where students come to master stock analysis, get real-world investing experience, and build the network and skills needed to land careers on Wall Street.
Our Vision
To become the premier talent pipeline at Neeley, developing students from all backgrounds into the nation's top finance professionals.
Our Mission
We equip ambitious TCU students with the practical, real-world financial modeling and research skills demanded by top-tier firms

What makes NERC unique ?
NERC was founded to provide an inclusive, merit-based ecosystem for financial education and career acceleration. We differentiate ourselves with three core pillars:
Radical Inclusivity
Applications are open to all full time TCU Neeley School Of Business students, regardless of classification or major. Determination and passion are the only prerequisites.
The 'skills lab' model
-
NERC is not a "career club" focused only on networking events. It is a "skills lab" where the entire structure is built around doing—building financial models, writing research reports, and pitching stocks.
-
NERC is structured like a buy-side investment firm, led by a student C-Suite and managed by VPs. Our analysts work under real-world pressure with mandatory deadlines and rigorous quality control
Broad Career Pathways
While supporting investment banking, we provide deep exposure to a wide spectrum of high-finance roles, including asset/wealth management, equity research, and sales & trading.
Our Commitment
Member Experience
01
We cultivate an environment that feels less like a student club and more like a high-performance analyst program. The experience is designed to be challenging, transformative, and exclusive.
Rigorous Analysis
02
We commit to data-driven methodologies, emphasizing critical thinking and fundamental analysis to produce high-quality investment insights.
Tangible weekly output
03
Our analysts execute independent research, build complex financial models, and submit professional briefs weekly against strict deadlines.
Professional accountability
04
We operate as a real firm. Continued membership is contingent upon performance, work quality, and adherence to industry-standard ethics.

NERC differs from typical student organizations in its intensity and professional focus. We operate not as a club, but as a rigorous, 14-week analyst training program modeled after buy-side induction protocols. Membership is highly selective and earned through demonstrated tenacity.
To remain in the cohort, analysts must commit to mandatory weekly workshops, significant independent research hours, and strict deadlines for institutional-quality deliverables. We maintain these demanding standards because the top-tier finance market demands excellence from day one.
